To protect the privacy of MWW members who host events, we have omitted last names and locations. This calendar provides examples of our events for prospective members and serves as a convenience for current members, whose newsletters contain the details.

SIGnificant notes

[new]  DEADLINES, RSVP'S, ETC. The following calendar items have deadlines and/or RSVP requests:

  • Gordon W. Hackbarth Memorial Lunch Bunch (January 6th) — RSVP by the preceding Monday.
  • Mensa MasterMind SIG (January 7th) — RSVP no later than the 6th.
  • Mensa Entrepeneur SIG (January 8th) — RSVP no later than the 7th.
  • For Women Only: An Afternoon at the OLYMPUS SPA (January 9th) — RSVP no later than the 2nd.
  • Dining Out SIG (January 19th) — RSVP no later than the 18th.
  • Wallingford Lunch Bunch (January 27th) — RSVP by 11:00 am.

[new]  STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING. The Quarterly SteerCom meeting will be held before the Monthly Gathering. See January 16th for details.

[new]  FIRST FRIDAY IN BELLINGHAM and the MENSA POKER SIG are taking the month off.

MENSA TEST. There will be no Mensa test this month. If you know someone who would like to take the test, please have them contact the proctor coordinator (testing%westernwashington.us.mensa.org – see Email) to make arrangements.

BUS ROUTE INFORMATION. To find out detailed route and time information in King County, contact Metro Rider Information at 206-553-3000 or log on to Metro Online. If route information is provided for a specific event, it will be included here.

MWW events are organized by members like you. If you don’t see an event that interests you, start one! Just check the monthly calendar for a good date, then send event information to the Editor (mwwtotems%gmail.com – see Email) by the 10th of the month prior to the event. It’s that simple!

Join us to discuss women's issues. Bring a snack or beverage to share; chocolate is especially welcome. Confidentiality is an absolute requirement. Adult women are welcome.

Dr John Stutterheim will speak on his book, The Diary of Prisoner 17326: A Boy's Life in a Japanese Labor Camp, which describes his experiences during World War II. Feel free to bring a guest.
The fun begins at 7:00 pm, with the presentation afterward. There will be one kitty for voluntary contributions to defray to cost of the food and meeting room, and a separate kitty if you want to help subsidize an annual membership for member(s) having economic difficulties.
