Calendar

This page describes our upcoming events. Be sure to check out the SIGnificant notes section!

Unlike the calendar created for the public part of our site, this calendar contains the contact information for each event.

MWW events are organized by members like you. If you don’t see an event that interests you, start one! Just check the monthly calendar for a good date, then send event information to the Editor (calendar@mensaww.org) by the 10th of the month prior to the event. It’s that simple!

Sunday, September 9

2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Women’s Bathroom SIG (WoSIG)
We warmly invite adult Mensa women to share our lively discussion! Complete confidentiality is required from all participants. Please bring a food/beverage item to share if you are able. Social Time 1:30, meeting starts at 2:00.
The September Women’s SIG will be at the home of Nancy Tennent, 19062 – 21st Avenue NE in Lake Forest Park. Contact: 206-619-1116 or nancytennent@gmail.com.
Our September WoSIG topic is "parts." Are you harboring a socially awkward teenager who takes the stage when you’re in a group of new people? Have you been sabotaged by a rebellious toddler who stomps her feet and procrastinates when you’re facing a deadline? Is there a sad little girl inside you who seeks solace in food because she doesn’t feel safe and wanted? Beneath the polished exteriors of our adult selves is a conglomeration of ghosts from childhood and skeletons of traumatic experiences. We may only be vaguely aware of them and might not like some of them all that much, but it can be very liberating and helpful to look at the positive sides of those entities and explore how to better integrate them into the whole of who we want to be. For extra credit, draw a picture of your inner family! Use lots of colors. You’ll be surprised at what you come up with.
