Calendar

SPECIAL NOTE

Hey, this is Scott (a ToteMs coeditor). If your calendar item is missing, it was an accidental oversight, on my part. I should now be forwarded emails sent to calendar@mensaww.org. If I goofed and left out your event (or provided incorrect or incomplete details), please send an email to coeditors@mensaww.org, or call me directly at 928-300-3904. We can quickly send out a corrective email to the entire local group.

Do you want to be in the group that proofs the monthly upcoming calendar (this helps me out)? Send me an email. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

This page describes our upcoming events. Be sure to check out the SIGnificant notes section!

Unlike the calendar created for the public part of our site, this calendar contains the contact information for each event.

MWW events are organized by members like you. If you don’t see an event that interests you, start one! Just check the monthly calendar for a good date, then send event information to the Editor (calendar@mensaww.org) by the 10th of the month prior to the event. It’s that simple!

Want to improve communication and intimacy with your spouse?
Wonder if your new beau has long-term potential?
What can Attachment Theory reveal about your relationship?

Come find out in this enlightening talk with Una Drake!
You will come away with a deeper understanding of relationship dynamics, and as well as specific tools to reconnect and build strong, lasting love.
Basically, I’m planning for the first part of my talk to be similar to the one I gave at the RG — basically outlining Attachment Theory and going into the attachment styles. Then the second part of the talk I plan to go into detail on a tool or model I’ve developed called the HAP Triangle, that is useful for reality checking, examining, and troubleshooting relationships.
The HAP Triangle is also really helpful for people who want to figure out exactly what they are looking for in a relationship/partner. And the different factors can really change depending on what attachment style someone has.
As an aside, what I find with a lot of people who have given up on love, is that the first place to start is in defining exactly what they want and what they DON’T want in a relationship. Basically a lot of people have an idea of what a relationship is or should be and in the past that formula has always resulted in pain for them.
So of course they are ambivalent at best about wanting that. Here’s a post I wrote about a year ago on this topic:
Una Drake believes relationships are powerful vehicles for personal growth.
A spiritual healer at heart, Una helps men and women access Juicy Love, and live a Juicy Life, full of creativity and joy.
Listen to Una’s show, Your Juicy Love, on Transformation Talk Radio, aired on AM 1150 KKNW in the Seattle area, or listen online from anywhere.
