Taking the locally proctored test

We strongly encourage you to reserve a seat for a test. To confirm a seat and ensure that there is a test for you, email the Testing Coordinator with your name and the date and location of the test you’d like to take. If you choose to show up without a reservation, you might be able to take the test — at the sole discretion of the proctor, if there is room and test material.

Michelle Rakshys,
Testing Coordinator

The regular Mensa test is designed for people over 14 years of age who are fluent in English. If that test would be difficult for you because of cultural or language differences, ADHD, learning disabilities or other problems, Mensa offers the Culture Fair (Non-Verbal) test. Each test is scheduled in separate sessions on different days, so please make note of the test being offered in each session listed below before you register.

If you are under 18, one of your parents must sign a permission slip provided by the Testing Coordinator, so be sure to contact the Testing Coordinator in advance to make arrangements. Or, an even better option would be to bring a parent with you to the testing session.

The test takes about about two hours and costs $40.00.

Note:  Should you become ill at the last minute, do not come; you want to be at your best. However, be sure to notify the Testing Coordinator to remain on the mailing list.
