Who we are

As a local group of American Mensa, which in turn is a national member of International Mensa, we are a diverse bunch enjoying a wide range of interests and activities. More than 1200 members enjoy the benefits of belonging to Mensa of Western Washington (MWW).

You are welcome to come and meet with us. Our Monthly Gathering, which is open to the public, provides some interesting lectures and discussions.

Activities hosted by members in their homes are open only to MWW members and their invited guests. Some of our favorite special interest groups that are restricted to members include various Games Nights, Movie Night, Science SIG, Poker SIG, Pensa (a writing group), Dining Out SIG, and the notorious but benign and supportive Women’s Bathroom SIG (there’s an amusing story behind that name). Our event hosts and local officers are all volunteers

MWW is part of Region 8 (Pacific Intermountain), one of the 10 administrative regions of American Mensa.  We occasionally host or co-host a Regional Gathering.    In 2011 we will be co-hosting the Annual Gathering, a national event, with Oregon Mensa.
